In business, the master agreement is a contract that deals with the future conclusion of many similar individual contracts that relate to the master agreement. It only regulates the framework conditions of a legal relationship, which must be specified in later individual contracts.

Article master data – this consists of basic data for identifying articles (Global Trade Item Number, GTIN) and suppliers (Global Location Number, GLN) and other article information such as size, weight of the product or type of packaging.

The customer specifies a date/period of time, for all allocations before this date there is an obligation on the part of the customer to accept the planned material.

Segment of a message that opens and uniquely identifies it.

These segments identify certain sections of a message, e.g. header information, packaging information.
