Global Transport Label

The Global Transport Label is the physical information carrier on the package. It is tailored to electronic data communication, provided with text for manual processing and contains barcodes for automatic recording via scanners.

GPC

Global Product Classification – global framework for product classification.

GRN

Goods Received Note – Document confirming the receipt of goods by the customer so that invoices can be released for payment.

GS1

A global organization that designs and implements global supply chain improvement standards and is responsible for assigning Global Trade Item Numbers (GTIN) to products.

GSMP

Global Standards Management Process – Processes with the help of which uniform standards are developed worldwide and continuously checked. The most important standards include the GS1 standards, such as the Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) for identifying products and the Global Location Number (GLN) for identifying manufacturers.

GTIN

Global Trade Item Number – unique number for product identification.

Hypertext Transfer Protocol – Protocol used for retrieving and transferring files over the Internet or other computer networks.

IDOC

IDOC means “Intermediate Document” and is the central data exchange format of SAP systems. Business documents can be imported and exported with SAP IDOC.
